What This Site Provides

Online GPS Camera is a free, browser-based tool that lets you capture a photo and add your current latitude, longitude, accuracy, date and time to it — without installing an app. It's built for anyone who needs a quick, location-stamped photo: field workers, surveyors, delivery drivers, property inspectors, or travelers documenting a trip.

Why We Built This

Native GPS camera apps require an install, device permissions up front, and storage space. We wanted a version that works the moment you open a link in your browser, asks only for the permissions it needs at the moment it needs them, and gets out of your way once you're done.

Our Privacy-Focused Approach

The tool is designed so photo capture and the GPS overlay happen locally in your browser using the Canvas API, rather than requiring your photo to be uploaded to a server as part of that process. Supported Browser Technologies

This tool is built on standard web platform features: the MediaDevices.getUserMedia() API for camera access, the Geolocation API for GPS coordinates, and the HTML5 Canvas API to combine the photo and overlay. It works in up-to-date versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox.
