Browser APIs Used

This tool uses the standard MediaDevices.getUserMedia() API for camera access, the Geolocation API for location, and the HTML5 Canvas API to draw the photo and overlay together. These are built-in browser features, not third-party plugins.

Local Processing

The captured video frame and the information overlay are drawn together on a canvas element inside your browser. Taking a photo, adding the overlay, and downloading the result are designed to work without uploading your photo to a server.

Cookies

This Site may use a small cookie or local storage entry to remember that you've dismissed the cookie notice. This Site also uses Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions (see "Analytics" below).

Analytics

This Site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are viewed and general usage patterns. Google Analytics may collect information such as your approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, and pages visited. This data is processed by Google in aggregated/anonymized form and is not linked to the photos, GPS coordinates, or addresses you generate using the tool on this Site, which are never sent to any server. Advertising
